Prescription Sport Goggles For Field Hockey and Lacrosse
If you child requires corrective lenses/prescription glasses and plays Lacrosse, there are now options available for you.
U.S. Lacrosse (USAL) updated their game rules in January 2020. Women and girls are required to wear an SEI (Safety Equipment Institute)-certified protective eyewear that meets the current ASTM standard F3077-17. This rule change was designed to minimize or significantly reduce eye injuries due to the impact and penetration of lacrosse balls.
If your Lacrosse player is 14-year old and below and requires prescription eyewear, an exemption waiver signed by a parent or guardian, along with Doctor's certification, will allow the player to participate without SEI-certified eye protection, wearing ASTM F803 prescription sport goggles.
