It is a popular
misconception that the yellow lenses advertised for night
driving enhance your vision at night.
Yellow tint gives the wearer the impression
they are seeing better at night, when in fact the reverse is actually
true.
They are even hazardous, because they give the driver a
feeling of seeing better, which no one has yet been able to explain. Studies
have shown that they actually impair visual performance and retard glare
recovery.
While yellow lenses can be effective for low light, foggy or hazy
daylight conditions, they are not effective against headlight glare and
should not be worn at dusk or night.
Melanin Glasses are the Solution
Would you like to be able to reduce the glare and be able to see
better at the same time? Melavision driving lenses lenses
reduce the levels of blue light and HEV (high energy visible) light that causes
glare, headaches, and eye fatigue through the use of Melanin, natures own
protection that is contained in our hair, eyes, and skin.
Our Melavision lenses offer 100% UVA and UVB protection for
daytime driving as well a large reduction of HEV light. In recent
tests, subjects showed an average improvement of 32% in vision acuity while
wearing melanin lenses versus clear lenses and the unaided
eye.
These lightly tinted Melanin lenses offer
90% luminous transmission and are ideal for reducing headlight glare
from oncoming traffic and reflective light from traffic behind your
vehicle. |
